Sharon Bush

Executive Director

Sharon joined Grand Victoria Foundation in 2013 as a Senior Program Officer and Director of Elgin Programs. She was promoted to Managing Director in 2016 and appointed Executive Director effective January 1, 2018.

She is a recognized thought-leader who has created and led innovative public/private collaborations that resulted in the creation of the Chicagoland Workforce Funder Alliance, the Illinois Digital Learning Initiative, Alignment Collaborative for Education, and the Elgin Human Services Council. Before joining Grand Victoria Foundation, she created the Employment program at the Lloyd A. Fry Foundation and established its reputation as a key Employment funder in Chicago.

Sharon is President of the Mikva Challenge Board of Directors, a board member of Forefront, African American Legacy, and the Alignment Collaborative for Education.  She is a former co-chair of Chicago African Americans in Philanthropy and was an Association of Black Foundation Executives Connecting Leaders Fellow. In 2017 Sharon was recognized with the prestigious award: Champions of Diversity by Chicago African Americans in Philanthropy.
